2020 has been a year like no other. We are excited and optimistic about our seasonal holiday business. Christmas parties are always the most memorable highlights of the year. This year we have started booking Santa Claus appearances and Christmas parties.

As you can imagine, we all have questions going into this holiday season.
First, answering the first question everybody has is Yes, our Santa Claus’s will all have a facemask or a face shield. Until the bi law is changed, or we hear different from our governing bodies, we will adhere to all our performers and your parties’ safety measures.

Our performers always look forward to the Christmas season and the mad rush of parties and events to perform in. Christmas is the most memorable time. This year I believe that with our company ensuring safety and respect for all of our performances, we will all have an outstanding holiday season and a Merry Christmas.

 The singing telegram business the path back to work.

What 2020 has been like for a performer in the singing telegram business. Let me start by saying I am happy that I and all my family and neighbours are still healthy and have made it through these crazy months in good health. Our path back to work was one of the utmost uncertainty. Can you imagine sitting there in March, racking your brain about the future of your performing stopped because you can’t be in the same room as strangers?

Everything was quiet for about a month. Out of the blue, I got a call to perform Happy Birthday and another song on a woman’s front lawn. The woman was turning 70 and watched the performance through her front window. I was in her front yard with a bunch of her neighbours who made sure she felt loved, remembered and appreciated on her birthday.

That one ladies’ 70th birthday was a start of what became a new area for performing. Over the next few months, until we entered stage 3, this was one of my primary income sources and performing.

Canadians are amazing. I’m fortunate to be working even part-time considering before this pandemic, and it’s restrictions, my approach to delivering singing telegrams have always been up close and personal.

This pandemic has changed not only many of our businesses but has helped to realign our priorities again. People looked out for one another and continue to as we exit the worst of it back into more open and public life again.

I want to close by thanking people who picked up the phone and called to book us. We are happy to perform and are proud to continue working for you.

Summer 2020 Stage Entertainment

It is now Summer 2020. It has been many months since Stage Entertainment has had to option of opening up our entertainment company again. Our performers are excited at the option of back to working and entertaining an audience.

This nationwide shutdown has had a devastating effect on the entertainment industry. It has caused a fair amount of businesses in the entertainment sector to close permanently or take out loans to survive.

On a personal note, I am proud as a Canadain on how we collectively handled this lockdown and how we pulled together as Canadians and helped the elderly and our neighbours during this difficult time.

We have pulled through this together and should have the majority of us working again. Most of Ontario is open & Toronto’s Stage 3 restrictions lifted within the next few days.

Stage Entertainment are proud of how we have all handled this unprecedented last few months. We all look forward to getting back to work.

Whatever precautions that need to be in place moving forward, you have our promise that our performers and entertainers have whatever protective equipment they need to perform their job safely.
